Advancing Black American Economic Power Across Generations
BWFF advances Black America’s contribution to national GDP through economic competitiveness, sustainable communities, and generational wealth.
We bring together leadership, institutional relationships, capital, and place-based strategy so that more Black American talent and enterprise can contribute to a stronger national economy—and more families and communities can participate in the value they create.
What We Believe
Leadership needs opportunity. Capital needs credible pathways for deployment. Communities need institutions with staying power. Families need the relationships and practices that help wealth endure.
BWFF connects these elements through convenings, partnerships, and initiatives designed for long-term economic participation.
Our Three Strategic Pillars
Economic Competitiveness
We connect leadership development, workforce mobility, innovation, entrepreneurship, and capital relationships to help Black American talent and enterprise compete and grow.
Sustainable Communities
We work with universities and local partners to explore development approaches that connect land, infrastructure, enterprise, workforce, and community benefit.
Generational Wealth
We create environments for families and institutional partners to address stewardship, governance, ownership, and next-generation preparation.
How We Work
Convene
We bring the right people into focused rooms where trust and useful relationships can develop.
Design
We shape frameworks and partnerships around a defined opportunity and the roles needed to pursue it.
Activate
We use programs and convenings to move from introductions toward engagement and follow-through.
Measure
We are developing ways to track participation, partnerships, and economic progress so our work can be assessed over time.
BWFF 100 Family Stewardship Office
Many families have capable advisors and significant responsibilities, yet lack a coordinated structure around the family as a whole. BWFF 100 is being developed to help families understand the family-office model, clarify stewardship priorities, organize important relationships, and prepare the next generation for responsibility.
The Office’s intended role includes education, convenings, relationship coordination, and introductions to independent specialists. Families retain qualified legal, tax, investment, banking, insurance, and fiduciary professionals for advice and decisions within those fields.
A Message from the CEO
To our partners and fellow builders:
The next chapter of Black American economic progress calls for institutions, trusted relationships, and the discipline to connect talent, ownership, capital, and community.
In 2026, we launched the Excellence in Leadership Tour and convened the Wealth Weekend Preview on Martha’s Vineyard. Those experiences brought emerging leaders into conversation with people shaping opportunity today. They also made the work ahead clearer: strengthen the relationships, prepare the next generation, and build structures that can serve families and communities over time.
I invite you to build with us.
